It’s lovely to see so many of you in Chapter One bookshop at the moment, getting Christmas presents in, and thanks for your support.
But we’ve not forgotten 2026 is just round the corner and we’re pleased to invite you to our January events.

Our paperback breakfast is a chance to exchange a paperback you’ve enjoyed ( or maybe wasn’t quite the Christmas present you expected…) and choose another, all with coffee and a croissant. £6.50 Bookable here

Sarah Bonser-Blake is a wildlife photographer who lives close to Narberth Museum, and we’re delighted to host her exhibition, which celebrates the beauty and fragility of the natural world. You’re invited to the free opening of her exhibition on January 10th, 6-8pm.

What better way to start 2026 than with a workshop where you create your storyboard for the year ahead? Psychologist Philippa Davies has coached Olympic Performance Directors, tv presenters and business leaders and she currently researches creativity and wellbeing for her 11th book. A three hour workshop, £15. Bookable here.

We’ve very excited to have a new event starting on Thursday 22nd January, The Book-ish Quiz. We know from previous events that you are competitive literary lionesses and lions, hopefully keen to feed on our bookish prizes. Bookable here, again.

And finally, another new workshop for 2026, a supportive writing group for writers of all kinds, on the fourth Saturday of each month.
Individual sessions are £5, bookable here. And if you’d like to block book for the year, at £50, then please e mail us at chapterone@narberthmuseum.co.uk.
That’s it, just remains to wish you all a most happy Christmas and New Year. Looking forward to maybe seeing you in our bookish January!
